When schools out, we’re in!

Enjoying the fun, sun, and adventure when partaking in BJ Care Services’ school holiday programs, tailored carefully to the preferences of participants, we aim to find new activities to explore for participants to experience, make friends and just have fun. School holidays is a time to recognise hard work, take a break and have some fun! We take these weeks as a golden opportunity to introduce and immerse participants in varied activities to acknowledge inclusivity in the community, offer the opportunity to give them choice within challenge activities and form connections with other individuals to call friends.

In these programs, inclusivity is a moral we at BJ Care Services we intend to bring to life through fostering positive behaviour. Making connections and making equal grounds for all. We believe that individuals with disabilities should have equal opportunities to participate in activities and events. That is why all our programs are designed to be inclusive, with trained staff and volunteers who are knowledgeable and understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities. We also encourage families and caregivers to join in on the activities, promoting a sense of community and support.

We have complied a list of places to explore, things to do and fun packed activities but we are always open to finding new activities and we are always open to providing the resources to parents and caregivers of participants for their own schedules.

Holiday a different way…

Travelling can be difficult for anyone at anytime, and it becomes a little bit harder for loved ones with disabilities. But we at BJ Care Services believe that all participants should have the opportunities of travelling and exploring new experiences, expanding social gates and collecting new memories as all people.

Perth

We now offer respite holiday packages in Perth!

Indulge in the ultimate coastal getaway with our exquisite waterfront holiday house. Nestled along the pristine shores of north Perth, this urban chic retreat offers unrivalled panoramic views of the glistening waters and stunning sunsets among its native environments. Offered to all participants regardless of their disability, this property is a waterfront oasis fully equipped with all beddings, household needs, local cleaners and a company car allocated for taking the participants out and about!

Inside the house, comfort and elegance with spacious living areas, modern amenities, and tasteful decor designed to enhance the vacation feels personalise the house to the holiday aesthetic. Whether you’re lounging in the sun-drenched living room, preparing a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen, the house is ready tailored to participant needs.

Carers may choose to go with the participants as primary carers or have the option for their loved one to be accompanied by a support worker. Participants and carers are covered by the package, inclusive of flights, accommodation in the house, budget for the trip and activity money. Families and friends that wish to come with participants within their stay may not be covered into the package and will not be able to stay in our houses as they are tailored to participants with disabilities needs. With our qualified and trained staff we fully embrace and believe that participant, like everyone, must be offered the same opportunities and social experiences to grow their own independence and experiences.

With the help of NDIS holiday funding provided by planners, we ensure all our participants need and safety are a high priority upon this experience. We conduct thorough risk assessments and tailored schedules of activities for the most memorable experiences. As we understand the importance of routine and comfort, as such we continue the community outings of grocery shopping and participation in cooking for our participants on these trips.

Registration into BJ Care Services is mandatory to access the BJ Care Services Holiday House Program to better understand the need of your loved one and provide the best care with access. We operate with a minimum one-week stay within these locations and recommend a quick and urgent booking as places are limited and going fast!

Queensland

Our Queensland Holiday House offers the essence of fun and excitement. Located in an accessible beach town, lined with boutiques, local stores, and fresh visitor sites, it shines the beauty of the Gold Coast. Our urban beach calm house is fully equipped with modern amenities, and local cleaners and spacious living spaces. Whilst in this house carers and participants may relax in the house, we have amenities in place for homecooked meals and any need the participant may need. Regardless of any disability, participants are invited to experience the relaxation of the gold coast.

Carers have the option to accompany participants as primary carers or opt for their loved ones to be accompanied by a support worker. With our dedicated staff, we believe in providing equal opportunities and social experiences for all participants, fostering independence and personal growth. Utilizing NDIS holiday funding, we prioritize participant needs and safety through thorough risk assessments and customized activity schedules. Community outings such as grocery shopping and cooking are integrated into the experience to maintain routine and comfort.

The travel package covers flights, accommodation, a goodies budget for the trip, and activity expenses for both participants and carers. Exploring and visiting all the fun attractions that Queensland is possible for all participants. When we work together alongside participants and primary carers, we are able to tailor schedules to their tastes!

If families and friends wish to accompany participants, they must arrange their own accommodations and funds, as this package falls exclusively for participants and their primary carer, houses are tailored to the specific needs of participants with disabilities and plans are made specific to participant likes.
